VBS

VBS for 2009 has come and gone at my church. It was great. Our attendance was up 25% and we had nine decisions for Christ. I helped teach the 4th—6th graders again. They are a great group of kids. We were expecting about 15 kids and ended up with anywhere from 36 to 40 each day. So, that meant we had to change rooms and alter a few activities, but the kids didn't seem to mind. We took the kids in our group to the YMCA on Wednesday after VBS. It was a great plan that got interrupted by the rain, but the kids were troopers and enjoyed the Kids Zone until the rain stopped. My sister taught VBS this year for the first time. She helped teach the babies—2s and had a great time. It's always neat to get to teach the curriculum you have edited for a year and see how the kids react to it. Now, it's time to start planning for next year.
